John Long

John Long is a dynamic operational leader with over two decades of experience transforming legal service delivery and bringing new methods to the practice of Estate and Trust Litigation. As Chief Operations Officer at Hackard Law, he oversees all business operations; including finance, technology, human resources, facilities and insurance.

John began his legal operations career with Mike Hackard in 2005, and has given leadership to the growth and improvements over the years to the firms’ operations, especially in online technology; including the adoption of a cloud based firm-wide matter management platform and new research into the application of ai for the law firm. A firm believer in “learning by doing,” John often beta-tests new legal tech tools for a match to the digital transformation needs of the firm.

He enjoys hiking, travelling and good restaurants in Northern CA.
